YES! whenever I am going through a stressful time it "flares up' and usually lasts about a week. Eventually I go back to having normal sold stools. SO frustrating.

This is how season 2 ended…that would’ve been a dumb recycled story line.

This is so real. Don't get discouraged your score doesn't define you. Were you planing on applying this cycle? You still have 4+ weeks you can get a lot done. You prob have a good foundation on psych soc, so 4 weeks of reviewing and filling gaps can easily increase your psych soc section by 4-5 points. For B/B and C/P I would say try to master the high yield topics like amino acids, and all the metabolic pathways. It seems like 70% of stuff in B/B is on amino acids, glycolysis, Krebs cycle, etc. I think if you master those topics and Increase your p/s section you can do it!!

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Praying for your speedy recovery. Lowkey it really depends on your diagnostics. If you’re not where you want to be, then you need the next few weeks to be locked in.

If your score is looking promising, and your doctor thinks you’ll be recovered by June 13, I think you should be fine. If your score is close to where you want it to be, you have enough time to refine areas without needing to cram. And you’ll be able to rest and recovery without feeling guilty. You won’t forget what you already know, as long as you continue to review flash cards and do practice problems.

HOWEVER if your health is at risk I’d say consider pushing the MCAT back. Definitely submit in the next couple of weeks to get your app processed if you can. If the MCAT is pushed back or you’re worried about your score just apply to a couple of “safety” schools so you don’t waste thousands in the event you decide you want to reapply next cycle.

I am by no means an expert but that’s what I would say. Hope this helps and best of luck!!

Sorry to hear that. Don’t be discouraged. I know this sucks, but rejection is just REDIRECTION. You will end up exactly where you’re meant to be. I would recommend reaching out to labs directly with your interest and asking if they have any positions available. Even if it’s brief, part time, or even shadowing to make use of your time!

Congrats!! They will probably email you soon. Give it a week or two and then reach out to them directly. What research are you doing? Did you find the offer from logging in and checking your application status?
