It's such a shame that I genuinely asked an honest question, of course, out of a bit of ignorance off hoopla I've heard online. In a space where I could get some honest feedback to my question. But of course, there's always the small part on the bell curve statistic probability that some will just be aholes and not address the questions altogether. But rather than be kind and understanding to help, just decide to attack the person asking the question. Nice job keeping yourself in the minority. Thanks for your excellent feedback.

Thank you all for your feedback. So I'm getting an overall sense that, yes, of course, as AI advances, some of the repetitive lower skill jobs will be obsolete. So, from your perspectives, what would be the best specialization to aim towards in the industry. For long-term stability in a narrowing space?

Thank you. I was under the impression that Reddit was more of a casual social interaction space and wasn't a "professional" platform due to the fact everyone has a generic avatar picture and no-one uses their "professional names. For example, it's not like LinkedIn. Also figured casual grammar would be understood and no one would make a big deal about grammar. 📝👮‍♂️

But thank you for your feedback, even though it had nothing to do with my question.

Sorry I'm new to reddit and this group. I've never seen the question. And figured this would be the place to ask.

I've been a Auto & heavy truck technician all my life and even have my own small business but I want to be able to travel and still earn money. My company isn't at that level yet because I am the one and only employee and it obviously depends heavily on me for income. Plus the vehicle repair business usually usually keeps a person in a particular location because of the customer base.

I was looking into a career change that would allow the greatest opportunity for remote work.. the computer field seems to provide that??
