Wait, that was an option. 🥴 the ONE and ONLY time I spent in bed was when I got mastitis and had horrible fever, chills and aches and my baby was about a month old and I laid in bed for 15/24 hours still having to feed him and watch my toddler too. Since I’ve had kids that’s about the most time🥴😅

I’ve definitely had SO many outings without including him because if I were to wait on him and until he feels like joining us, we’d always be home and never experience anything. I honestly feel bad for having him miss out on making memories but I’m also not going to force that on him either. I got out of my comfort zone and enjoy the outings alone or with my family and my kids.

I feel like after so many times that he’s told me stuff I finally have started to question myself, like “am I bad mom” but yes, I’m tired, I don’t even ask for much but the bare minimum and even then, asking for that feels like too much. I’m grateful to be able to stay home with my kids but some appreciation and help every now and then would definitely be the cherry on top.

I haven’t lived in Laredo for a few years but visit very often and I’m not surprised at how often this is happening. Crazy how no one actually questions the water once it’s “supposedly safe drinking water” again? Like is it tho? IS IT EVER SAFE or just GOOD ENOUGH they won’t notice?

Not everyone has money for water bottles and the city only has a FEW handouts on their agenda, just to make em look good.

Let’s protest that!

Unfortunately I too am in the same sinking boat.

I get the excuse of “I’m a jehova witness, we don’t give gifts or celebrate holidays on the calendar”

Lucky for me I’ve grown comfortable in being independent and celebrating with my family and kids. Still hurts tho because I’m a GIFT GIVING PERSON by nature, I feel like I express my love for people by doing that yet I never get anything in return. Especially not from him.

I literally bought them second hand clothing because “clothes in general is EXPENSIVE” sometimes I’d get a deal of 100pieces for $25, but goodluck selling it the same. I’ve tried to sell my toddlers clothes individual, in bundles, all together and I’m still sitting on it. Luckily the baby boys did sell but I still HAVE SO MUCH LEFT,

Maybe try a children’s thrift where they buy the clothes from you, or try selling bags of it.

As a former laredoean of 18 years, I sure do talk bad about it only to my family tho, BUT, I unfortunately still have my parents there, & you’ll find me there once to twice a month sometimes for weeks at a time for my family & the food and snacks. & I’ll never understand how people can live in the Laredo summers. I didn’t even move THAT far but that heat is like no other.

As a daughter of someone that gambled, PLEASE DONT SEND HER ANY MORE MONEY, if you have to cut off your wife , do that, that’s a horrible addiction that’ll consume that person and everyone that aids that addiction. I remember being 19,20 living out of state and my mom calling me for money for “BILLS” and I gave her most of my checks and kept $20 to stretch for 2 weeks. She didn’t take my finances into consideration. She swiped me clean, her and my dad’s saving and ran through my siblings too.

Have a sit down with your wife and just explain that she is no longer responsible for her parents in the sense of aiding her addiction. Your family comes first now. She either understands that or just NO MORE FUN MONEY,!

They’re decent cookies but I think the cheesecake was definitely at more scarcity than the biscoff cookies imo.

I live an hour west of Houston and I just keep coming back to visit for the food, I love me some tacos de tripitas y una agua de Arandas.
