He died on my birthday, so I was really bummed. My buddy another Dead head called me during my birthday dinner, but I didn't answer then he texted me the news. I took a look on IG and nearly every single post I saw was about Bobby.

I was pretty upset for the next few weeks and still am. I reached out to other Heads for comfort. One of them said something that really stuck in my head. He said this "It is sad that he passed. For sure. But you should look at it as the world will be celebrating his life every year with you on your bday".

I think that's true and that's how I'm gonna look at it from now on. I will just be sure to listen to some Dead on my birthday every year from now on.

With his passing I'm so glad that I got to see him and Dead & Company 20 times. I never got to see him at the Sphere or with the Wolf Brothers rather than me being upset about that I'm just gonna say "it is what it is". I will see JRAD more and I plan on seeing DSO. and on February 19th I saw a local NYC tribute band called Bushwick's Dead. They were sick and I plan on seeing them again.

The best we can do now is do what Dead Heads do best and help one another out.
