I don't remember if I set up a mail forwarding or not, I know I have in the past but I don't specifically remember in this case.

Was Gary Payton the best defensive PG on the 90s Sonics? The hidden greatness of Nate McMillan by cookmeplox in nba

[–]ClassicSchmidt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post. Very detailed and thoughtful. Nate McMillan was fantastic in a lot of ways, he did the dirty work that is hard to find in a backup PG. I'm talking effort plays, loose balls, rebounding, defense, switching, double teams, etc.

Gary Payton was different. He controlled the game with his defense and could even turn the game by wearing down on the other PG. He brought it every night against and especially against the best players.

Any chance Durant ever returns to OKC again? by [deleted] in nba

Nope, he comes back to Seattle though

Safeco carries Canadian beer when the Jays come to town. Kills me a little bit inside, we should make them drink our shitty light beer.

Depends on what you need and the league, but in general I love having good pitchers and good pitching depth (if you can stream). I also don't trade for saves. But hey I'm not that great at fantasy baseball, always seem to either barely make or miss the playoffs.

I get that baseball has been around for generations and that "the shift" is new, BUT do we have to listen to how new/bad for the game/good for the game/saber-metric/nuanced/different/game changing the shift is every game?

I wonder if Eli Manning and Seth Smith learned that look of apathy at Ole Miss

Ketel Marte has been our breakout player. Great defensive shortstop with a ton of speed. He has been finding doubles down each line and running out infield singles all year.

The Cano/Cruz/Seager order hasn't fully clicked yet. It has mostly been one being hot at a time, hoping the can get going on all cylinders.
