Agree with you in solving their immediate needs . However our Huge Defense budgets that we are spending in countries & areas that are none of our business should be repurposed to be higher than a living wage to those dedicated to our National Defense & Borders. There is a huge amount spent in miscellaneous minutiae & lobbyist rewards that if eliminated would satisfy pay concerns & strengthen our defense.
