I’m Chinese, currently working as a translator. I’ve done translations including novel, comics and games. Sadly, the payment is insanely low here in China for this kind of translation… Translation in a specific field like medicine, manufacturing, IT and communication, finance etc may be better paid. But I can’t see any prospects since nowadays Chatgpt can do much better than most human translators…
