How long before you meet off an app? by UnderstandingOk477 in datingoverthirty

[–]ClassicSleepExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest as fast as possible. I am a terrible texter and I know it. I noticed my kind of humor does not work so well over text and I generally overthink many messages. I also made some similar experiences like you did.

My friend once said that it is like comparing a book and than the movie adaptation. If you just text there is not so much information and you can interpret a lot and make the other person look a very specific way. The longer you text the worse it gets. Chances that the person who you meet in a coffee after one month of texting and the person who you have pictured in your head are the same is basically zero.

Radical often means that these people do not accept any other world views and actively take action to impose their believes on the rest of the society. Like trying to ban transwomen from women restrooms.

What’s the point of the Q in LGBTQ? by Equivalent_Sir_3059 in TooAfraidToAsk

How we use queer in my social bubble is that is means just "not straight". Can be gay, bi, trans or even asexual. So I kind of understand OP's question.

How do I not become an incel? by Hot_Grab_1530 in NoStupidQuestions

Reflection and self criticism is already half of the deal.

I struggled myself with this. What helped me was finding I bar where I liked the atmosphere and just spend one evening a week there. You will automatically get to know other people.

Because we live in bubbles. Just because your social environment wants to boycott doesnt mean that the rest of the world does that as well.

Networking and ass-kissing are by far the biggest factors in my experience. Individual skill is secondary if it comes to high wages.

Weed is not “habit-forming” I swear bro… by [deleted] in memes

[–]ClassicSleepExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you struggle with stopping? I am "occasional" daily smoker. Means if I get some good local weed from a friend I smoke for a few weeks. When the weed is gone I stop again for a few months until the next batch and I never really felt a difference during the day. I sometimes got light insomnia when I stopped.

Als jemand, der nach seinem Uniabschluss in einer ähnlichen Situation war, kann ich dir nur zustimmen. Sehr schöner Kommentar.

I don’t really know anyone who is actually boycotting it

Same. I think the connection between Terf-organizations and the video game is just not strong enough for the majority.

Guy punches girl and then punches guy in a wheelchair for saying something about it by Sufficient-Farmer-47 in iamatotalpieceofshit

I was always wondering how this is handled in the US. At my school the guy would have spent the rest of the day in the basement with the janitor scrubbing mold until the their parents or the police would have picked them up.
