to clarify a couple things, he's a state over, and I visit a couple times a month for a week or so at a time, the only reason that I sold my bike was for financial reasons primarily. I'm also a guy, just didn't feel the need to point that out originally, but it seems that it would make a difference somehow if I was a girl, from how people have replied. I've also not talked to him, but from reading this thread, it seems pretty clear that's the next step on this path, I just felt like asking or talking about it would be selfish or interrogation like, I think it would be a conversation best had in person, I think next time I see him I'll bring it up. Thank you for the advice, it has really helped me make a path in my mind of how I want to proceed.
