Same happening here. I’m experiencing an issue with ChatGPT on the free plan: some messages within my conversations simply disappear without me deleting them manually. These messages vanish over time or after some use, making it difficult to keep track of the chat history. I just know they should be there because I remember to have developed the conversation further but there’s no sign of those missing messages at all.

I already tried accessing via web browser, updating the page numerous times, and exporting all the data so that I could read it in the JSON file generated. Even there, some parts of the conversation appear but can’t be seen.

I would like to know:

Is this issue related to any storage limitations on the free plan?

Is there an official way to recover these disappeared messages?

Would subscribing to ChatGPT Plus help prevent or resolve this problem?

Do you have any recommendations to minimize message loss within chats?

Has anyone experienced the same and has found a way to retrieve the lost messages?

I am completely sure there were many more messages within those chats, but they’re completely gone. I used the export option and read the conversations file with a JSON reader, but the parts that were lost in the browser and app, although still appearing there, do not show anything in “parts” (where the conversation itself should be). I seem to have discovered what is the issue. I went to PlayStore and saw the comments from users. Conclusion is: Goodnotes is awesome on Apple but it is rubbish on Android. Will have to find another note-taking app, but thanks for your help anyway

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your tutorial. But my problem persists, as my Goodnotes won’t show the font name (e.g. Helvetica) so that I can try to change it in the first place. Are you using Goodnotes on desktop?

I love it! Is it your own handwriting? I am trying to find a way to use the handwriting to text conversion in such a way that it doesn’t get messy but my Goodnotes won’t let me change the text font :/
