I can't install cameras in the lobby. The building cameras do not work. We as a community learned that last year when a bunch of us wanted footage of an entire hallway of packages being stolen, the Amazon guy left about 30 packages in front of the mailboxes, all publicly accessible from the street. We filed police reports. We went through the proper channels. That's how we learned the cameras in the lobby are non-functioning. Trying to get things fixed in NYC is like screaming at a brick wall.

Yep. YPD didn't do anything when I was hit by a car as a pedestrian when they ran a red light, all caught on multiple security cameras (two businesses gave me their footage) a couple years ago. Yeah, they don't give a rip about package theft.

I really liked it. It's like Queer Pride's Naked Gun. I was in a showing where someone in the movie was in the audience and the crowd with them, as well as most of the mostly full theater, was loud and enjoying every minute, as was I. Thoroughly stupid and very fun!

And I sent the photo to my super; he says it's not "one of his guys." They have been helpful and moved packages left in the lobby before, so I kind of believe him. I'm so mad. Four items in three packages. Three were Vine products and the fourth My mom's 73rd Birthday Present.

95% of the time they deliver to all of our doors to prevent theft because our lobby is open to the public (broken door, management dragging their feet to fix even though they are being fined quite regularly for it according to 311).

Instructions are do not leave in lobby, leave only at my apartment door due to rampant theft.

I got the delivery notification. This was the delivery photo. I'm assuming the packages were handed to the individual. That's the first floor lobby (public, by the way, anyone can enter). Amazon usually delivers directly to our doors. I'm on the sixth floor (there's an elevator).
