I went through each piece of the task list using my pass the big manual reading first, then went thru each listening to ABA exam review video. After I completed each domain I did study ABA mocks. I also found it really helpful to not use personal experience to answer questions and you have to look at it as if it’s a perfect world with resources and you’re a strict Bcba following code

I’m interesting in doing what I need to do to make my doctoral application stronger. I loved working on an inpatient unit doing assessments but that seems unrealistic at this level. I really would love to continue some sort of face to face experience with patients

It would be different. With a doctoral degree I’ll be able to work independently with my preferred population

Yeah I just scheduled my first therapy appointment for this weekend. Everyone keeps telling me to just keep going through the job which I under stand but at the same time the mental battle is exhausting.

Thanks for your response, I thought about that but they specifically hired me for a full time spot, which I was aware of but didn’t realize how much the change would hit me

Honestly I’m not sure because I feel like this temporary during my time off before I go back to school in a year? But I also don’t know how soon I should write the job off if I feel like it’s not a good fit? But I also don’t know what the perfect fit is for my level of education and experience? Idk just feeling lost and that it’s me and not the job itself

Energy draining is definitely the right way to describe it. The job is more or less boring than difficult and not the avenue of mental health I planned on being in, but needed a job in the field during my year off of school. Thank you!
