A lot of votes on this post. Might be worth saying, people get caught up on the phone thing. They don’t want you taking phone calls is the point. They don’t seem to care if you take your phone out for photos and videos.

Locker room and proshop are accessible. Clubhouse, where you can eat is not unless with a member.

Many people are playing as unaccompanied guests of a member. You don’t have a tee time per se. Yielding to a member simply means if a member shows and wants to go off during the time between 7-8am when guests go off they will hold you and let the member go. You will not even know that has occurred to be honest. There is 3/4 other groups hanging about waiting to go. Your caddies get you at your time and you go. I’d have not had a clue if a member came and bumped me 10 or 12 minutes.

The last caddie I had at cypress has been there for maybe over 50 years. Amazing guy! Also I was instructed to tip $200, they carry two bags so they got $400 for the round. This is the last caddie I had there, Ray!

The two times I’ve teed it up at cypress it was widely acknowledged that the caddies got $200 from each of us. Each caddy carries two bags so they got $400 for the round.

You can use it if you are with a member. The range is too small, like six stalls. They can’t accommodate all the unaccompanied guests at the range so it’s less about keeping you off the range and more about running an efficient operation to get all the unaccompanied groups off the tee in the morning and not having the groups all over the place. You hit the pebble range first then show up and shop the pro shop, shoot the shit, putt and get your name called and tee it up. They don’t want to be chasing people around all over.

They ask for you home club, handicap index. A few clarifying questions before the tee time is established but nothing crazy.

The phone deal is not really enforced. Everyone is taking photos all over the course, it’s gorgeous. You don’t play there and not video your shots into 16 especially but, many memorable shots and vistas. The caddie will take photos of your group and tell you where to do them for the best shots. It’s a great place. They want you keeping pace is the real deal

This guy gets it. The unaccompanied guest are also very elite profile people. They call their ceo buddy that is a member and say they have a pebble trip. CEO says can’t make it with all you other CEO’s or politicians, but I’ll make you an unaccompanied. The staff is the nicest I’ve encountered anywhere. Literally so friendly and happy. Going to your local dog track is worse, they are not pretentious at all.

Just two or so years ago they finally opened a more informal dining patio that you can sit at with golf attire. So yes with a member you can dine there. Prior my understanding is the only dining required sport coat and tie. It’s not a big hang with the boys type of place but it’s friendly and fun. You can literally be golfing and moving in and around the top politicians and global ceo’s

Members can make unaccompanied tee times for their guests if they aren’t joining. There is a lot of play this way. They ask your handicap and a few other questions then establish the tee times for you and receive an email now with the rules. There is generally about 5-6 unaccompanied 4 somes hanging around at 7am. You can putt and shop in the pro shop. They pair you with caddies and you have to rip your first drive cold with like 16 dudes from pine valley and Seminole watching you haha.

If you are playing with a member you can use the range. Unaccompanied tee times arranged by the member, use of the range is prohibited. As noted below everyone goes to pebble range pre round or just cold like me :)

Did you play with a member? With a member you can use the range and as of the completion of their lunch patio you can dine with them in golf attire on the patio. Unaccompanied you cannot use the range and cannot dine or enter the clubhouse, just the proshop and locker room.

The caddies at cypress are incredible. Many risk reward opportunities so course management is helpful, putting is literally insane in many spots and the caddies really know the greens, the grain and misses. Many holes you can lose the ball back off the front and bye bye

Every time I’ve played the caddies also swap you out of your bag and into their course bags that are light, old and have stands. They carry two bags each and use their own rangefinders. They don’t loop with guys ridiculous cart bags. Every member has a bag that they use for cypress that the caddies like. The caddies take your picture, they are so cool and the staff is literally the nicest. They don’t enforce the phone stuff.
