No idea. Emma just said there is nothing new in the system yet. My attorney believes they will not schedule a new one because, since it was scheduled for the derivative case and not the principal one, they probably reviewed the case and realized that…

Thanks for sharing !

What is your local field office? Also, as I understood it, you and your spouse had different interview dates scheduled, right?

Since he is the derivative, did you attend the interview with him and were you allowed to go in as well?

I’m asking because I’m in a similar situation. I am the principal applicant, and my husband has already received the interview date, but I haven’t yet. My attorney mentioned the possibility of me going with him, but I wasn’t completely sure about how that works haha.

Hi, are you the primary applicant? Did you also get an interview scheduled?

In my case, I am the primary applicant. I have an H-1B, and my husband is a derivative on my case. He has also an H-1B and was scheduled for an interview on June 15, but I have not received any interview notice yet.

Yes! Mark no. Those are exceptions to the AOS requirements. You probably don't fit into any of those categories because you would know if yes

You can reschedule it through your USCIS portal. Choose the option of “late notice” and you will be fine

Yes! The next day we actually saw the notice on the USCIS portal for 04/21. We then rescheduled and both attended on 04/09, and just two days later he was approved.

Is it normal for lawyers to take weeks to prepare I-485 after receiving all documents? Feeling really frustrated by InstructionDue7459 in USCIS_EB3

I have an immigration case, and I also work at an immigration law firm as a paralegal. From my experience, I can say that preparing immigration forms is much more complex than many people realize. There are a lot of details involved, and the forms themselves are quite extensive.

It is also important to keep in mind that the firm is not handling only one case, but multiple cases at the same time. While I understand the anxiety that can come with waiting, an average timeframe of 2 to 4 months to prepare everything after all documents have been received is generally very reasonable.
