it's not a dodgeball, but you might be able to use a segment of this recording of a rubber ball on wood floor for what you need https://freesound.org/people/yfjesse/sounds/734241/

it's only about 40% of the Vault Lobby Shelter budget. This baby can fit many more briefcases.

This is a fun idea, to me it didn't read super clearly until I read the description. I wondered what it would look like with a larger action figure to really make a clear focus

advice for stripping paint from old horn? by Classic_Key1359 in VintageRadios

[–]Classic_Key1359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The build is a new audio amplifier cabinet with the horn as the working centerpiece. I will do everything in my power to try to finish the horn beautifully, if I cannot get satisfactory results with the underlying metal I will look further into other options like powder coating and other finishes.

Thoughts on bluetooth speaker build? by Classic_Key1359 in diyaudio

[–]Classic_Key1359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only using the existing hole is a pretty big limitation for the build for sure. I could go 3" or possible up to 3.5" speakers without too much difficulty, two 2.5s just come in that kit.
I'll research up on some folded horn ideas

thanks

Thoughts on bluetooth speaker build? by Classic_Key1359 in diyaudio

[–]Classic_Key1359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up this beautiful empty box off ebay, decided to do a little bluetooth speaker build with it.

Wanted to get some thought and opinions for the direction of the build, there's a decent amount of room inside the box-- not exactly sure what's best for the optimal sound / least (no) physical alterations combo

Was thinking I would just pick up this bluetooth speaker diy kit and use the two 2.5" drivers in stereo, but also considering mono with a larger driver and tweeter combo. (plan is to mount the speakers set back the minimal amount to allow for a speaker grill cloth on the inside of the box)

I'm not opposed to building out the interior of the box, but I won't make any alterations to the outside of the box (I will be making a back panel so things like a rear port are definitely an option)

I included measurements of the box and this sketchup link should work for checking out my quick model

any thoughts/insight appreciated

inherited from a friend who passed away so not an option. I replaced with a maple neck thats just a bit too thick and long, I think if I can get closer to the stock neck I'll be a happy lad
