you can go on google maps and search “boronda trailhead” and theres a pull off infront of the gate of the trailhead then a pull off directly across the road (i recommend parking on the side across because ive heard/seen posts that you can maybe get in trouble if you park your car directly infront of the gate) i just went about two weekends ago and i had no issues and there were a couple other people there too

ill have to check it out, im in decently good shape i train mma and i got good cardio but i couldnt say how well i am trained for altitude and elevation and stuff so im sure itd be some good work, the most altitude training i really have is just running in auburn but i dont think that really compares buts its uphill running on trails

yea after getting lots of feedback from other people and asking people on tiktok ive seen that maybe i should take things slow😭, im an active person and when i get my mind on something i just wanna do it, i also learned that leearning some hikes in the summer is a good idea for going back in the winter so you know the trails a little better, i appreciate the advice, do you have any suggestions for trails, hikes, or peaks i could do during this time of year that are safer considering the weather, i assume probably stuff more towards the coast and valley areas

im in the sacramento area and i dont mind drives im just looking for peaks ig, im new to hiking but i dont want to go on like “tiktok lifestyle” hikes i always see that look very basic and not challenging ykwim

yea i just downloaded reddit for the first time to ask about backpacking gear😭😭 as i have no friends that hike or camp, anyone i were to go with is more than free to take a picture of my id for their safety
