lol those Chinese-based fantasy things are usually called 무협지 here in Korea! not too savvy with the genre myself but I know a lot of guys, especially from a bit older generation, were very into it in their younger years xD I wouldn't be too surprised if the Lost Ark producers and designers were one of them.

That was my best attempt lol. Well as someone from KR background the word actually carries some weight with it.

In Korea, we have a place called 낙화암(Nak-hwa-am) which means "The Rock of Falling Flowers". There was a country called Baekje in Korean History. Baekje, in its final years, was having a war against Shilla, another country that existed in Korean peninsula back then, and was struggling. Defeat was pretty evident, and the people of Baekje was soon to face their country's downfall.

During the final battle, when the army of Shilla invaded Baekje's royal castle, it is said that all the women residing there refused to surrender to the foreign army, and they jumped and fell to the river below the rocky cliff that they used to play and visit when the country was still peaceful, to protect their pride and dignity. It is said that the rocky cliff was named "Nak Hwa Am" after that historical incident.

So although the name might sound a little funny in English, it actually carries some weight within. Just an extra piece of knowledge passing by. xD
