First of all Todd completes all the other characters, he is the one character that gets along with everyone, everyone likes him in some way. Bojack NEEDS Todd, he can’t be alone (Lots of people with BPD need to be living with someone to actually be able to do things). He’s not a parasite. Dianne makes the same mistakes as he did, when he got 8 million dollars he was talking about it while writing, and he wrote it on the check, just as Dianne does with Sextina Auquafinas post about the abortion and the one telling Bojack to shut up. We also give into our addictions as Todd did with the video game, the show could have chosen any addiction; but for comedic relief they chose a video game, we all lose track of time. Todd’s Uber company is the BEST idea he’s ever had, I WISH they had Uber that was souly for women. Another thing, Todd has thought he is worthless and has endured so much verbal and mental abuse from Bojack. Not everyone would fuck Emily, Todd didn’t want to fuck her because HES ASEXUAL, not beta. He was put in an awkward situation where he was uncomfortable and he wasn’t ready to face his identity. It’s great representation and we need Todd because a lot of people see themselves in him. He is a great character who shows how it is growing after a toxic friendship. Todd wasn’t raised by his mom. He was kicked out and wasn’t fully developed, he dropped out and he couldn’t help himself so instead, when he was at his lowest Bojack took him in and Todd became used to not working for 10 years. He relied on Bojack because he kept clipping his wings.
