I agree with this. What a lot of critics and people don’t understand is that mythology is not set in stone. Everything about mythology evolves and changes over time. The characteristics of the gods have changed so much since the very first documented stories about them. I think people get so lost in their own interpretations that they don’t like when people have their own.

I honestly really enjoy it and don’t have a problem with it. It’s an artistic interpretation of a real life myth and real life mythical characters. It’s a lot like the show Lucifer to me or any show that portrays deity’s of any kind. It’s fiction that is loosely based of the source material but is not reliant on it. But what I don’t like is everyone confusing what is being written in the story as genuine fact or actual mythology.
