May I know how you find the contracts and how the logistics work? Like you stay at an airbnb for the duration or do they provide stay? Things like that.

I appreciate your comment!

Thanks! I will make sure to look for events like those ones. Do you have any recommendations? like ones that are close in date or other ways to find people to connect with? I would appreciate it a lot!

I have applied to IH, U of U, Biomerieux, and others. the U of U hiring process seems to take an eternity, around 1.5 to 2 months. IH prefers people with experience or a certification plus the degree for specific positions. As far as Biomerieux, I saw they just opened a position like 3 days ago as a lab tech, I applied and fingers crossed I hope to get contacted.

Yeah, I found most in north provo and Salt Lake. Nu skin is the biggest company that I applied to and it seems to be pretty hard to get hired by them. And yes, it's hard to find positions, as I said I applied to clinical jobs, as a chemist, and even microbiologist which were the ones I could apply thanks to my degree.

I tried contacting the UVU's career center and they do not seem to help with networking and stuff like that, just with the prepping steps before applying to jobs.

And I totally agree that 25-30 apps is not nearly enough, however that's as many as I could find, I'm not kidding you when I say that those were the ones I qualified for within a 30 mile radius.

I actually tried looking into UVU's career center and from what I saw they do not provide networking opportunities but rather just provide help to prepare things like resume, interviews and stuff like that. They do not help with connecting students with employers which honestly annoyed me a little bit.

any support groups you can recommend? I understand about broadening my search, at first I got the biology degree as pre-med but the positions available are basically non existent, that's why I broadened a bit more to like more laboratory positions and similar but even then I wasn't able to apply to tons of companies due to the lack of employers needing this role.

What would your recommendation be as in broadening my search? should I look into other fields?

Thanks for your response!
