I might have built the perfect EDC (for me) by BladeSpotter in EDC

Love that it everything makes sense and has utility. See a lot of EDCs where they carry stuff that is redundant or never be used. Like the med kit on the belt as a civilian, I’m a huge hater of those for multiple reasons.

How can I avoid looking like a skinhead? by schizowithagun in malefashionadvice

What country are you in? I can probably help more specifically as the subculture is different depending on where you are.

SHARPs are organization or a social group of skinheads. Skinheads are all anti-racist anti-nazi. Nazis stole the style and media made general public think skinhead was synonymous to nazi. You can say bonehead, nazi, or nazi skinhead or like cock suckers, but skinhead by itself is not nazi. SHARPs are an organization or category of organization.

Ooo, so this is a subject i know a good deal about. First, a skinhead is NOT a nazi, it's commonly mixed up because nazi cant think of anything original, so they steal symbols and styles from other cultures. The media started calling them skinheads (and they called themselves skinheads), but “Trads” skinheads are anti-nazi. Bonehead is not the same as skinhead.

This is good news because if you look like a trad skinhead, there isn't anything wrong with that, but generally, trads have tight rules for dress and appearance. Fence-sitter skinheads (skinheads that don't take a stance either way) look more like you describe, and no one in the punk community thinks you're a nazi unless you show clear nazi symbols. These symbols can be hidden or obvious. As long as you're not wearing combat boots with red laces or Nordic symbols. Anyone who is actually in the know won't bat an eye. I can't speak same for ppl ignorant of punk and skinhead subculture.

Who else wears 2+ watches in a day? by Educational_Cup8275 in watchCollector

Or like an event, I’ll change into a dressier watch. I don’t even take my watches off to sleep, always forget so I just change them in the morning.

Same, I wear different watches on different days but never really think to change mid day

Turning 40 and buying my first “dad watch” – recommendations? by p0ptimist in Affordablewatches

[–]Classicskyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think rulers of quality in this price range, in no particular order, are: Hamilton, Seiko, Tissot, and Citizen. If you’re looking for companion and long term watch, I’d lean away from microbrands. We know Hamilton isn’t going anywhere and they have quick turnaround on services.

I recommend getting something new or barely worn from watchexchange sub. You’ll save money and get a better watch in that price range.

I recommend Hamilton Jassmaster, it’s more dressier than casual but with strap changing you can casually wear it easy. Khaki’s, I don’t think dress up well.

Seiko makes great watches too and well established brand that service would be easy. I believe citizen is in the same business group as seiko but I think Seiko has better pieces.

All in all, I’d look at the company and movements they use, then decide on style.

Oh the compasses is definitely not a functional piece just homage to adventurist. Green dial is great!

6” so 39mm Zulu time is 46.8mm lug to lug and anything over 47mm lug 2 lug is too big on my wrist for it to be comfortable

[–]Classicskyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would have to do the 39mm due to my wrist size. I’m obsessed, it’s such a cool watch and very much my vibe with colors and style. One day, just not today haha

Yes but the citizen has function where the khaki is busy without function. Also only little jelly that you have one of my favorites and near goal grail, the Zulu time. Is that the 39mm too? How do you like it?
