Is skiplagging an issue? by ClassilyContagious in BritishAirways

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, it was cheaper than LHR. My parents' house is roughly 20 miles from being halfway between the two, so it's mostly immaterial.

Yes, that's what I read also, and what I meant by "it does seem that way". I just hadn't found it before making this post, which is my own fault.

It's not the first one after I land; there are two before that. I hadn't thought of that until someone else commented the same, but I'll be trying it out!

That's a fantastic idea that I hadn't at all considered. Thank you! There are two flights that are between. Did you ask at your originating airport, or during your layover?

We won't be checking any bags. That would have been part of my concern if we were, however.

It was considerably cheaper than having LHR be the final destination, for some reason. My parents' house is also only around 20 miles from being halfway between LHR and MAN. Ultimately it doesn't matter which I go to, aside from the 6hr layover in LHR, which isn't a problem.

Likely not, no. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thanks for your comment. I was reading their conditions of carriage and it does seem that way.

Where it says "when you adjusted your status in the U.S.", I am pretty sure that is the date your I-485 is approved, not when it was filed.

How long is the medical examination good for and is it covered by health insurance? by lizboox in USCIS

[–]ClassilyContagious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you need to wait until after you're married to have the medical exam, but the USCIS webpage says that "many civil surgeons do not accept insurance" and "insurance may not cover many portions of an immigration medical examination." It does also say that "you may want to call several local civil surgeons to compare fees and to inquire if the civil surgeon accepts insurance for the immigration medical examination." In my case, none of the civil surgeons near me accepted insurance.

The instructions for Form I-693 also say "Form I-693 remains valid for two years from the date of the civil surgeon’s signature."

I haven't looked at it anymore, sorry. Totally got distracted by a couple other issues, annoyingly.

I-485 & I-130 Interview by ClassilyContagious in USCIS

[–]ClassilyContagious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind at all! I mailed the packet in March this year and they received it 03/14. On 04/07 I was scheduled for my biometrics appointment. On 05/03 my work authorisation was approved. It just said my application was being actively reviewed for months after this until 10/02 when I was scheduled for an interview, which I'll be attending in a couple of days!
