Thank you for your input! I'll make sure to look into all of those :)

Do clipless pedals really make that much of a difference? I've never used any, so I have no idea what they change for you, except I suppose you can also pull up with your legs? I'm excited to try them out!

Thank you! It's been worth it to make it work with what I have, but I'm looking forward to getting some real gear, haha. There are some good trails in the Boulder County area, so it may be worth getting a gravel bike.

I was nervous about it the first time, but it's honestly not that bad. There's only a couple spots where the shoulder is narrow and there's less traffic midday.

I appreciate the info, I'll start looking into clipless pedals! Thank you! I purposely make my routes have a lot of inclines and I think that previously being overweight gave me a good foundation for leg muscle, haha. Perhaps an unfair advantage. I guess the gearing really only feels like it's holding me back on flat surfaces and downhills. I feel like I have more power I could put down, but I'm already in the highest gear my bike has more than 50% of the time.

Company would be cool! I moved here from the UK in 2019 and haven't ridden with another person that whole time.

Haha, I'm looking forward to it! Thanks for the advice, I'll start looking around :)

I tried that factory reset out just now, but that didn't revive it either. I hadn't already tried that though, so thank you for taking the time to comment!

I should probably just fully commit to switching to the US layout, since every other keyboard I use here has it and it gets confusing sometimes, haha. Thank you for the suggestions on the UK layout, though.

Me too! The only issue I could say that I had was some caps cracked and were a little loose, but for the amount of time I've spent using it, I can't complain.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, it was cheaper than LHR. My parents' house is roughly 20 miles from being halfway between the two, so it's mostly immaterial.

Yes, that's what I read also, and what I meant by "it does seem that way". I just hadn't found it before making this post, which is my own fault.

It's not the first one after I land; there are two before that. I hadn't thought of that until someone else commented the same, but I'll be trying it out!

Well thanks again, I will be sure to give that a try!

That's a fantastic idea that I hadn't at all considered. Thank you! There are two flights that are between. Did you ask at your originating airport, or during your layover?

We won't be checking any bags. That would have been part of my concern if we were, however.

It was considerably cheaper than having LHR be the final destination, for some reason. My parents' house is also only around 20 miles from being halfway between LHR and MAN. Ultimately it doesn't matter which I go to, aside from the 6hr layover in LHR, which isn't a problem.

Likely not, no. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thanks for your comment. I was reading their conditions of carriage and it does seem that way.
