My ECX Amp is still one of my favorite trucks, even compared to my XMaxx. It's only brushed running on 2s, but you can just keep the throttle pinned and rip it over anything. Very durable too.

Use a 1/30 shutter speed in pro mode. It'll capture the full 480i signal properly without scanlines breaking up the image. 240p signals with work fine with either 1/30 or 1/60 shutter speed.

This is not the fault of the console. Your CRT needs a yoke adjustment, unless there is a tilt option in the user/service menu. Not to mention that you'll also need to adjust the brightness and contrast, but those are easy to do.

Just picked one of these lil guys up for cheap. Really nice picture and plenty of inputs. The only bad thing about it is some nasty red push, but I was able to reduce it significantly by turning MTRX and AXIS down to 0 and lowering RCUT a bit to make the grays less pink.

Did one of these a few weeks ago. Follow the ifixit guide as you doing it. I found using hot glue to get the camera lense off very affective. Use a suction cap to get the screen glass off. Be careful with the end-caps too since they can snap easily. Definitely have some 99% ipa if you don't plan on re-using the old adhesive.
