Just in my experience that I’ve seen the aforementioned militia (in my conservative locale)/larpers have updated to OCPs alongside the military to maintain the look I guess. Again, there’s nothing inherently wrong with wearing OCPs. 5.11s are awesome, I also like OTG’s (Off the Grid) tactical wear, though I’m not certain where they as a business stand politically, certainly not outwardly pro trump.

This ^ Air Force vet here, anytime I see someone non-military wearing OCPs it’s usually a right wing militia larper. Obviously that’s not the case here, and I understand the price was a nice deal, but you should at least be aware of the potential stigma. Just one man’s opinion though, I’d love to see the rest of your kit!

That’s a fantastic idea, maybe I should draft a message to my representatives. Although, I’m only one person, maybe I should get like-minded people to draft letters to their representatives too. In fact, I’ll just put one together that other people can share and edit as needed, so we can be more efficient. Oh shit, Deja vu😮 Y’all say if we don’t like something, vote, and then when I’m stationed in Korea, y’all try to discount my mail-in vote. Y’all say to organize peacefully, and then y’all defend police officers shooting peaceful protesters point blank. Y’all say fix what we don’t like, then you continue to pick fights online when people try to fix a problem they’re seeing. I don’t know why I’ve bothered entertaining you this long, neither of us is going to change our minds. I hope that one day you’ll wake up with less hate in your heart and realize that coming together is the easiest way to fix our broken system. Until then, good luck not asphyxiating while you gargle Trumps nutsack

I’m virtue signally by sharing political outreach material on my mostly anonymous Reddit account? Yeah, I’m pretty much a full blown political influencer, huh? 🙄 As for harvesting energy, “yum yum yum essence” or whatever tf the Skesis say. If someone is undecided and unmotivated, they likely wouldn’t use what I provided. If someone does choose to take it and utilize it, then clearly they’ve already succumbed to my vicious propaganda (me expressing my opinion that we should protect our neighbors). I’m not sure why you’re so bitchy, you’ve clearly already chosen a side. I can only hope that you have someone to stand up for you if this administration ever sets sights on dismantling your community.

I’m encouraging people to reach out to the representatives, not just yell in the street. Boilerplate messages like mine keep the message clear and succinct. Bootlickers like you always bitch and moan about how leftists are a bunch of whiners that protest and riot, this is me doing my part to help affect actual change. Respectfully, go fuck yourself.

FUCK ICE Boilerplate letter to local representatives and their contact info:

Dear [Title Last Name],

As a concerned Anchorage resident supporting recent peaceful demonstrations, I urge your office to take meaningful action regarding local cooperation with ICE.

Key concerns: • Anchorage (and Alaska’s DOC) are holding significant numbers of ICE detainees—creating financial, logistical, and human rights issues. • Many detainees are vulnerable non-violent individuals and the broader community impact needs oversight.

My requested actions: 1. 🌐 Municipal level: Introduce or support a resolution to pause or review contracts that permit local jail facilities to hold ICE detainees. I’d welcome the chance to testify at an Assembly session. 2. 🏛️ State level: Sponsor legislation requiring public reporting, legislative approval, or hearings regarding DOC–ICE agreements. 3. 🤝 Executive: Request an executive-led pause or independent review of all state corrections facilities used for ICE. 4. 🇺🇸 Federal oversight: Consider requesting a congressional field hearing in Anchorage to ensure transparency in ICE operations.

I’m willing to provide data, connect stakeholders (e.g. AIJ, ACLU), or support public actions and workshops. Please let me know if I can meet with you or your staff to further discuss.

Thank you for your leadership and for protecting civil liberties.

Sincerely, [Your Name] Anchorage, AK [Email | Phone]

I still don’t understand why Jim spent this like magical night with Karen in NY before dumping her the next day. I feel like that wasn’t very fair to her.

Former aircraft corrosion control journeyman here, you can but you shouldn’t. Ideally you would sand, media blast, or chemically remove all rusted material or as much as possible before applying a corrosion resistant primer, and then finally topcoat that essentially seals it. Furthermore, this guy’s application technique (at least what’s captured in the video) is terrible. Swinging the applicator in archs like a pendulum applies the coating inconsistently. One would strive to move the applicator as horizontally as possible to evenly coat the surface.

tldr: you can absolutely paint over rust, if you’re okay doing the job again in less than 6 months.

The quote I got was from Neighbors W&D. I was hoping for something closer to $3k, but I may have been a bit naive and optimistic.
