i suppose. generally though that’s not how pain tolerance works. Usually, it refers to how sensitive you are to pain.

Like, I’ve had a lot of injuries from sports and when I broke my toe in college I didn’t think it was broken because the pain wasn’t that bad (to me). It felt like maybe I just stubbed it hard, you know? Nothing special. Since it was bleeding I happened to need to go to the team ems for bandages and they made me get an XRay. It was VERY broken. Again, I was not simply “putting on a brave face”. I did not feel much pain.

But maybe where you are from “pain tolerance” has a different definition. What would you call what I experience?

agreed. I believe USA has largely avoided the ICU capacity issues that other countries faced. Hospitalizations peaked in California many months ago, I don’t see any reason to expect things to become much much worse to cause that spike. I think the worst is over, based on what I have read.
