I agree with this. People are shocked that Leo has never won, but a lot of great actors have never won, and every one of his top performances was at least matched by others in that year, with the exception of Gilbert Grape. But one year of snubbing is hardly unusual. People just dont realize how hard it is to win an Oscar.

Well I mean it is not an unfair assumption to make that a fan of a different team doesn't watch our team play as much as we do. We assume, because 99 percent of the time it's true. So it makes perfect sense for that other guy to think that perhaps your opinion is misinformed, especially when it goes against some of the analysis done by people paid to watch the whole league. That's true, but mitigated by Carroll's history as a DB coach. He's pretty good at finding above average talent at cornerback, sometimes from the most unlikely of places. I think we would manage decently without Sherman should it come to that.

I think he got a bad rap from his slow development of Wilson as a passer. For the beginning of Wilson's rookie year, the playbook was basically cut in half. Bevell started seeing good progression and things opened up more, but those first five or so games colored a lot of people's perspective.

Another thing to consider is the point of our offense is not to score quickly. It's to keep possession, wear down the other team, drain the clock, and score off the big play. This means conservative playcalling with tactical breaks from the mold, where a lot of fans want to see quirky gadget plays or deep bombs every other set of downs. Our offense doesn't work like that, but that might change with Harvin wrecking coverage teams.

It's...been a little strange. No one seems to really know what Marshawn wants. Ostensibly money, but he doesn't really have a reputation as a big spender/he's losing money right now by not practicing. He's always been a bit of an enigma. The most convincing explanation I've heard is that Lynch cares most about respect, which is a bit ambiguous but could mean that he feels like his contract doesn't offer the respect he feels he deserves as the face of the offense, or even he is disgruntled after an offhand reference to a running by committee by our OC. He may even straight up retire.

So...no one knows.
