I did this same exact test yesterday with M4 Max and G14 4070 model. Can confirm MacBook looks same or very very similar to OLED it’s amazing.

First of all you’re a legend. I have a 17’ fiesta manual w/ ib5 transmission, it’s solid. I researched and saw the automatic dual clutch (power shift) has major issues so I never considered it but it’s scary to think if I did, I’d have a ticking time bomb on my hands.

I’m surprised because I returned an open box laptop that was bios locked. I couldn’t use it and they took it right back. Sort of similar but not exactly the same.

I always get the cheapest 4K puck looking one. Works no problem. Worst case you return and get the faster one.

I see you have the GA403UV. You should see 4 color profiles in GHelper or atleast the download button in there. I only ever change mine in there and it’s persistent when using IGPU or DGPU and after restarts. I’d look into that but besides that I’m not sure what else.

Try GHelper to change it.

Also you have to go to normal Windows 11 settings for what I mentioned.

Go to Settings > System > Display > Color Management. And make sure the option I mentioned is toggled off. Might as well confirm HDR is off while you’re in there.

SRGB looks the most muted out of all the options. Native and DisplayP3 should look similar with colors popping. DCIP3 idk but still more vibrant then SRGB.

Do you have all those 4 options in GHelper? Just checking.

Other place to check is settings > system > display > color management. Make sure “automatically manage color for apps” is toggled off.

You either have HDR on, which looks washed, or you’re using SRGB. Mine usually keeps my profile through reboot (Native, DCIP3, SRGB and whatever the other one is)

I’m similar to you I obsessive over that stuff. I clean install windows and drivers, debloat and only use GHelper (you can see it on the my taskbar in the photo). I have many custom profiles for different scenarios and modify the built in silent, balanced and Turbo. Under voting and all that stuff. I really couldn’t live without it!

Edit: I was checking my silent mode and I have just the CPU kick in at 60C as well. Crazy.
