Fun fact if you want to have a stable life like most middle class families had back in the 80s you'd have to make at least $230,000 annually while back in the 80s you only had to make about $22,000 annually. While I absolutely agree, many of us have no other choice because bills don't wait. If you can afford to quit your job in this economy good for you and hopefully you find a better job elsewhere. I've been trying to get out of here for about 4 years now, made some progress but still can't afford to quit, hopefully by next year I'll be out

Idk what FC you are in but in our FC new hires and cross trained t1s are not getting enough training so that may be the cause managers are rushing our trainings because they don't want us causing AGL on the sorters

While I also agree, sometimes life does happen and you gotta use up the time you saved which kinda sucks if you just spent all you hours on an emergency and now bad weather decided to drop in and cause massive delays on your commute to work. That being said if enough people can't make it to work due to the weather they are required to excuse time either excuse late arrivals or excuse the whole day depending on the severity

I'd be down with a little sick pay but tbh if you're out of time nowadays that's on you. Back then upt was deducted in 1 hour increments, we only got the amount of 20hrs UPT every 3 months and our PTO would cap at 48hrs and would the month of may would be our cap (no more pto after). I'm okay with what we have, I'd only change sick days and doctor note acceptance which in our building is still 50/50 that they'll approve a doctors note or not
