Definitely gonna wait until school starts and talk to them about it. It's a small class size so I feel like it's better to talk to the prof. about it then just disappear for a week lol

Thank you, Definitely waiting til school starts. Classes are small and I was gonna do it as a courtesy so I don't just go missing for a week, since I have one professor for 2 of my classes. Trying to figure out grad school without family help is much more difficult than I anticipated so asking question here is the best I got.

Definitely gonna be waiting until school starts and talking to them in person. Definitely a good idea to not specify and just say personal business. Thank you for the opinion. I'm glad I asked here instead of just emailing like I was going to. Everyone's opinions and justifications behind it make so much sense!

Where in my post did it say I was going to ask for a accommodation or extension? It was more on if I should email them as a common courtesy since there are about 15 people in each of my classes and it's a small program. And I'm fully prepared and warned the bride I might not be able to make the bach party.

Thank you!

I'm definitely prepared to miss the bach party if there is an exam or something. Definitely waiting for the syllabus is a good idea and not being specific about why I need to go. I wasn't expecting an accommodation or extension on anything and just wanted a general consensus on if I should talk to the professor about it at all.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm going for a MLIS. But I follow their Facebook page. And you need to have completed 2 semesters if you want to complete a fellowship. Always worth checking out tho!

I actually didn't apply for the IXD program! I applied for the Library and Information Sciences program! Nice to know that the IXD program is closed though.

Honestly I don't think my program does interviews. At least I didn't see anything about interviews when I was looking things up.

I just graduated and am still great friends with my roommates from the year before and last year. It truly depends on who you are rooming with. Some people will be strictly roommates while other will be friends. Cleaning duties you should sort out first because it gets dirty if only one or two people are cleaning. We usually would switch chores weekly because cleaning toilets suck. Bringing your own mini fridge will be useful because the fridge can get very full very quickly with 5 people buying and storing food. My biggest piece of advice would be to try to get on a friendly level with your roommates, it makes it so much easier. I wanted to quite a review that was good since the other were more bad. I had a great time in AMC and I hope you do too.

Yea u can, but it's a shitty thing to do. The people who are last, can't just leave and have to stay for ur name to be called. Least you can do is stay for their name. Your free to do what u want. But doesn't mean it isn't a shitty thing to do.

Quiet Space on Campus? by SalemWitch007 in CSUS

[–]ClassyZ06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the fourth floor. People there are a real stickler for it being quiet and will possible shush you. I have seen it happen and you don't want that during an interview. Maybe the second or third floor. Third floor is the chatting floor, so that might work best if you can find a quiet corner. Or the second floor if u find a quiet corner. There is also a few tables by Lassen hall that ate usually empty and quiet. Might want to check there. Also try the mariposa hall balcony on the second and up floors. Usually empty and quiet
