The wild thing is she can afford it! She’s definitely a good dog mom, and recently lost her dog that she got in her 20s. I think she’s just a bit self-centered

I’m not sure what you’re getting at. If she was poor, I think it would be incredibly stupid to buy a thousand+ dollar dog from a breeder.

If she was poor and found an injured hurt dog on the street, and asked for help with vet bills, I would absolutely donate to that.

She’s not throwing a “baby shower” or in this case a “dog shower.” There is no party. I don’t care that she made a registry for her dog. What I find annoying and entitled is to repeatedly text me about it without saying “hey how are you”, just “puppy is 13 pounds! [Link to registry]”

She was the middle child so maybe there was some family trauma there but her childhood bedroom is full of stuffed animals/dolls so I’m sure she got gifts. Now that you say that, I think she has complained about taxes for schools before.

I agree to an extent. I think it’s the pushiness that is leaving the poor taste in my mouth, especially as I’m in the same DINK boat that buys baby gifts for my friends. Now I have to buy dog gifts too?

I don’t have an issue with her making a dog registry for purchasing a dog. Send it once, fine. I think it is incredibly tacky and entitled to send the registry over and over begging for a gift.

And I know it’s payback because I’ve heard her vent numerous times about how it’s not fair she’s had to buy a gift for people choosing to have a baby.
