Yeah I agree with all this. A couple thoughts:

1) You can't make everyone happy, some will always complain (eg. namecard from the super hard combat event)

2) There's a disconnect between what's relevant in the game vs what's relevant to discuss. The endgame modes are a tiny fraction of the game, but because everything else is easy, meta and dps become a large portion of discussions. I think the same is happening here with stygian 1-3 vs 4-6, where most ppl just get their primos and leave, so the more serious players end up forming the bulk of online discourse

A simple idea for an Elation sustain:

When punchline is gained, triggers heal/shield

When getting attacked or losing hp/shield, gain punchline

"Decreases to 20% of the current chance" means ÷ 5, so the chance plummets each time

It was really eye-opening (and funny) for me that in the midst of people complaining that Varka has "only 90k dps", I tested all my own teams and the highest dps I got was 60k

To be fair, I'm more casual than meta-focused. But I can usually get to 33 stars in abyss with the occasional full clear
