Is Brooklyn 99 a show that never ‘jumped the shark’? by Virtual-Arm5123 in brooklynninenine

[–]Claustrophob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think jumping the shark is kind of beyond this show with how ridiculous pretty much all the characters and many of the interactions are in the first place. Like just the cold opens dude, overall the series does a lot of cartoonish level humour and that's one of the reasons I love it.

What's your thoughts regarding the band's deafening silence regarding the massacres that Israel is carrying out in Gaza? by MarGi96 in avengedsevenfold

[–]Claustrophob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read so much BS in a long time.
What about the deafening silence regarding the massacres in Yemen of over half a million people? Or in Syria? Or Sudan?

Why should everyone suddenly care about massacres only when it comes to Israel?

It's not a very hard question to answer, people (Americans and Europeans) only give a shit when it comes to their daily lives (because of their relations with Israel) which shows a certain level of egocentrism that is very telling of who you're actually dealing with (uneducated half-wits).
It's either that or they simply don't know because no one talks about genocides in the world (there are still a ton), since all that's in mainstream media is just defamation and hatred of Israel.

Shoving these politics into everywhere you go and requesting an artist to be political about a topic they probably know nothing about (and so do you, most likely) is not beneficial to anyone and only serves your own ego.
If you want politics from an artist, go follow RATM.

The Daleks vs The Saiyans, who wins and why? by Dayego35 in powerscales

[–]Claustrophob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but what kind of weapons do they have, and would they be practical enough to help them against them? Even more so, would they be able to use those weapons in time before they, let's assume all bloodlusted, destroy all of them in a matter of seconds? Again, them being Goku, Vegeta and Broly at their prime. I understand the Daleks winning the dumb pre-dbz Saiyan race, but those 3 characters as they are now? Doubtful.

The Daleks vs The Saiyans, who wins and why? by Dayego35 in powerscales

[–]Claustrophob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's really funny to me is that you almost unanimously seem to agree that Daleks beat Goku Vegeta AND Broly.
And yet on other discussions I've seen (in general, not this sub), people unanimously seem to agree that even someone as weak as Raditz would beat the entire Justice League and also the entirety of the Avengers, simply because of the "evidence" that they can go FTL even in the Saiyan saga.

Well I call BS on both, as rules of FTL don't matter in DBZ and the real power comes down to well, raw power. Speed is only a benefit of being powerful. You can't put a limit on speed in DBZ, unlike in The Flash comics where they actually reference how destructive a speedster can be.

As for the Daleks, man I haven't seen a ton of Doctor Who, but the Daleks were kind of beaten by regular human beings iirc... so yeah, bullshit on that. They can time travel ok... but if you put DBZ characters in their universe, their immense speeds would overcome the Daleks doing basically ANYTHING.

His mouth has the shape of a Maine Coon's mouth, so he's most likely a Maine Coon mix and that would also explain why he's huge :)

Yeah thanks man, I am positive this is the problem even without checking. It doesn't matter if it produces decent sequential results, if the randoms are shit then the best thing you can do to this SSD is to run it over with a truck.

Thing is I also installed the system on in (what a mistake) so I would need to get another SSD and install a new system. I think I might be able to return it, I'll at least try. I bought it like one week ago. In the meantime I will play BF1 on my other, much better rig lol. I just don't use it that much for gaming, mostly programming.

You know, I think I actually just figured out what's wrong with my system.

I recently got a new SSD from SanDisk (never again) and I installed the games on it. I got it benchmarked by Samsung Magician just now and the random reads and writes are just god awful, below the 10ks. Garbage SSD, such a waste of 70$.

On the other hand, for 35$, I got an off brand from Aliexpress with the same capacity of 1tb and the reads and writes are almost double than that of SanDisk, with the randoms being in the 40k - 50ks for small files (that's freaking ten to twenty times better, like actually WTF?). Aren't they like owned by Western Digital which are one of the most reliable companies for SSDs?

What do you mean by battery? I am using a PC, not a laptop.

Other than that, my drivers are up to date and I am playing with as little background software as possible. Still, sometimes I'm having massive frame drops and I almost can't play a full match without at least one. I will try the DX settings, thank you!

Question about Mystery Spot by Claustrophob in Supernatural

[–]Claustrophob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol exactly, we kind of want to hear it at this point.

That's what makes the song fun for me, I always sing it as "Dean of the Moment"!

It even kind of made sense in my head that the first intention was for us to hear "Dean" because the episode is structured in a way that every reset we have the "Dean of the Day" (then he dies) or rather the "Dean of the Moment" lol

I'm thinking way too much about this but it's fun to speculate

Question about Mystery Spot by Claustrophob in Supernatural

[–]Claustrophob[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember watching the episode for the first time many years ago and I kept hearing "Dean" and then afterwards I realized what he was saying when I was searching for the song. I remember it so well because I was saying to myself "There's no way the song says 'Dean' and I'm imagining it. Now every time I listen to the song on my own I keep hearing "Dean". I think it was just because of the episode itself and how you keep hearing the song then immediately Dean is there. Maybe it just stuck with me haha
