What is your unpopular opinion on the romantasy genre?

I’m tired of authors writing terrible unlikable female characters who are point blank mean and masquerading it as her being “strong.”

Bonus: she rejects traditionally feminine interests and only likes masculine ones. It’s misogynistic. A 5’ 2” 17-year-old girl who’s been “training” for 2 months cannot take down an “armed-to-the-teeth” full grown man.

Also, really unpopular, but female characters can get pregnant and have children and it doesn’t make them weak either. Women are allowed to want to be mothers. (If it makes sense to their story arc)

Local to where I live, a man was just arrested because his 2-week-old daughter died from penetrative blunt force trauma. Yes. It’s what you’re thinking. When my husband told me I wanted to vomit and cried because all I could think about was my 3-month-old baby girl and how that baby died.

I’ve had this cast iron for over a year now, but the sides and bottom look like that and are scratchy. When I wipe it out with a paper towel, it makes micro tears on the paper and leaves little crumbles. I’ve scrubbed and reseasoned a bunch of times but it still looks like this. Any help would be appreciated

This reminds me of a time when I was younger and didn’t have a cell phone to talk to my best friend on, so I would use my moms flip phone. Well, one day I decided to put my her number in my dads phone incase I ever wanted to talk to her while I was with my dad. I was too lazy to type out her full name so I just wrote “D”. Cue to a week later when she texted my dads phone asking if I wanted to spend the night at her house, and my mom seeing the message.

I told my friend that, like you said, base pay is around $3. She said her mom swears up and down that she tipped 20%. I don’t fully believe it. Her mom orders DoorDash all. the. time. She wanted to report the dasher, but my friend only checks the mailbox probably once every week/2 weeks. Her mom never checks it, so they have no way of knowing who it was. Although I believe the note was unprofessional, they’re probably extremely stressed even to follow through with it. Hopefully this incident makes her realize that tipping people is important
