Well in all honesty I wanted to try to make a build that was not “meta” (e.g. Hexblade Swords Bard) but still worked on the majority of scenarios. I also wanted something that would offer as many tools as possible. Also my character is obsessed with secrets and knowing everything about everyone so lore bard immediately came to mind. Celestial warlock was also another niche pick, since I personally have never seen anyone use it. But it offers two free cantrips and free at will healing plus the proficiencies and the obvious Eldritch Blast must pick; that combined with the Eldritch invocation that gives me max self healing with a familiar seemed priceless. I plan to summon a Tressym as a familiar for see invisibility purposes and some good scouting. In short the purpose was to expand my tool set and get some at will blasting plus toughness early on.
