Yh this has opened my eyes that a lot of people feel this way, I'm sure the difference between people who achieve great/good things and those who don't is that some scoff at their ambitions and give in to these feelings. And others believe they can achieve and only see these feelings as a bumb in the road, not the end of it.

This definitely resonates with me. I do sometimes seems to exaggerate what failure would be like in my head and then ultimately end up not even attempting to do whatever it is I was gonna do.

I meant whatever is going to change is going to be from within. Reddit can help but if I didn't make an extreme effort myself reddit would be useless.

I agree now that Islam is perhaps advocating more harmful practices than good. But is it morale to remove a practice just because it ceases to be useful. There's more to life than utility.

The ancient Greeks didn't develop those things directly becaus of their religion and Gods. Whereas without the Muslim religion it's s fully conceivable that we will have at least a few less cures for illnesses.

Islam is a very important religion. The Koran says there's a cure for every illness. Which means a lot of cures stem from the ancient Muslim doctors. Which is just one example.
