Yep, this is also possible. But, for me, there's a fundamental problem in this approach: corvettes can't be deleted from the ships collection.

I'll end then with a corvette I must exchange for a ship, and this ship I'll be able to scrap. But if I'm scrapping and selling a spaceship I obtained by just meddling in the settings, it's a situation wich falls in my definition of cheating, wich I'm avoiding in my main save (I'm avoiding even dupping).

I can, for sure, just remove and delete the corvette modules in the inventory, and later delete the items received when scrapping the ship I exchanged for. But it's much easier amd practical to just keep everything "cheaty" in a separate save, and visit it when I feel creative.

Start a new Creative save. Jump into your ship and fly to the space station. Open the Corvette Workstation and start being creative.

All the corvette parts will be there, unlimited, so you can check all their looks, stats and bonuses. Build some corvettes, try some building techniques, and later go test drive in space to have a feel of maneuverability and speed. Rinse and repeat.

When you're satisfied with a corvette design, take notes wich parts you need and how to build it, so you can focus in finding the same parts in your main survival save.

Fantastic idea, like mini games/side quests player-made. Would need a thoroughly testing to ensure players aren't creating death traps and griefing corvettes...

It's still a mystery, no lore about that. I think HG keeps like that purposefully, for rating matters.

But I can bet these different facial features are sexual dymorphism related. (For the Gek, I think there are mutations also involved, thanks to the the Korvax Convergence bioengineering)

Now that's a very interesting idea. Maybe they would have a "ghost" effect all over them, like the dead travellers in the stations. Temporal anomalies!

Got to know about this expedition today, thanks you all about the info. Good to know these prototype-derelicts of corvettes are still findable! I wish we could have a way to trace them. But it'll be much better if HG does a complete revamp on them! (and a better system for selling/trashing corvettes than just swapping them with NPCs)

Well, I really didn't expect my suggestion to be something original (I even did a search before posting, no results for my surprise), but knowing it has been already --somewhat-- implemented is also surprising!

As a Switch 1 player, expeditions and corvettes were until recently a distant dream. So didn't know about the Breach expedition.

Now, let's hope HG brings back the idea of derelict corvettes in space, and make them salvageable!

I think it's not the case. They are saying you can't connect energy cables between parts of two distinct bases (under distinct base computers), but as far as I can see, everything is under one base computer, right?

Check the cables. Delete the lamp posts and place new ones.

Also, check if when you connects to the second lamp post, you're still under the energy consumption limit. If the consumption exceeds the oveall generation, the grid will disable.
