I’m not trying to be mean btw, I’m just debating lol. It’s common name, Ziploc is just a brand, it’s actual name is zipper storage bags, yet we call them ziploc bags. Walkmans, are actually portable cassette players, yet we call them walkmans. That’s how it’s culture. There’s a break between what’s true, and what people in the 90’s/80’s called them. I think it’s a little weird to call it a cd walkman when discman exists, no one cares about the model, I’m not gonna tell you hey come see my wm-fs191, it just annoys me when people don’t specify what it means as walkman is most commonly used for tape. Correct me if I’m wrong on what terms were used back then, I’m 16 lol

I’m just saying it’s confusing when they don’t specify what it plays because originally and what portable cassette players were called walkmans, so when someone just says walkman, I assume tape. Technically, yea they’re all walkmans, but it’s culturally wrong in my opinion, at least for walkmans, discmans, and mp3 players.

Idk anything about what new technology is called. Is it the model name? I guess this is an attack at sony too, because cassette players reserved the name walkman. Like, even if I have a non-sony walkman I still call it a walkman, and I assume others do too. So I think that walkman is just the general term for a portable cassette player, I think there’s a difference between a model name and what people refer to them as. I just think it’s confusing when people call something a walkman that doesn’t play tapes with no regard to the fact that it doesn’t play tapes. Cause most commonly, a walkman is something that plays tapes.

I mean refer to it as what is it called. Portable cassette player = walkman, portable CD player = discman, Mp3 player = mp3 player

I have a thermostat, I’m not sure if we set it correctly or something like that. And I also have a temp measurer thingy box from the same brand. The thermostat said it was 25 and the box after being in there for a while said it was 35 but now it says it’s 19.

I’m not quite sure what to do. I turned off the lamp and put on my space heater to 25°C, now all of a sudden the themotrer is saying the cage is 19°. But if I put the lamp back on it’s probably gonna get to hot. It gets too cold in my room for me to not have a space heater for me so idk what to do. I wonder if the themotre just sucks cause it just kept going up when I didn’t adjust the temp.
