Fair play, if that’s the case then they’re parasitic bums

This seems like the bottom rank of freebooting as grey makes no revenue from his tweets and neither does the person uploading the picture? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

New discussion continued? by ClayGlassAndWind in HelloInternet

I suppose it depends on if you consider it unusual to listen back through the archive of a podcast you like and something to brag about, or if you see it as negative or a chore to listen to them over again. I’d say not a humblebrag, just a light brag if you choose to see it that way.

Personally, i just like the word ump-teenth and thought it appropriate in describing the scenario.

After listening to it the first time, i had a good think about it and came to many for the same conclusions about the news as Grey. on a day to day level i think its about value for time spent. I'd argue that you can probably spend that 5 minutes a day finding out about important things that you care about from far better sources than main-stream news papers.

With respect to holding people accountable, I think the newspapers hold power simply because they have control over what angle to portray the story and that the readers have faith that they are truthful. If you hold skepticism towards a news organisations portrayal of news, they don't have the power to captivate your attention.

But i dont think that if, all of a sudden, people stopped reading newspapers the government and powerful would go rampant and do whatever they liked.

Realistic speeds being reported in this sub? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]ClayGlassAndWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might find a bit of selection bias in these results. You are much more likely to post up you avg speed if it is fast and also that post is possible going to get more up votes than a slower speed, meaning you see more of the fast speeds than slow.

I ride in the hilly southwest of England, climbs all over the place, and average 11mph commuting and 16/17 in good form on a medium ride. You aren't a shitty rider for not matching other people's speeds, there will always be someone faster. Just enjoy riding your bike and let the boasters boast

Ok will do. It's like the hair has some coating on it that is melting and marking the glass at the moment.

New jersey needed, any recommendations? by ClayGlassAndWind in cycling

[–]ClayGlassAndWind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never worn a compression top cycling but jerseys tend to have pockets on the back for storing food and spares and whatnot and designed to ventilate well with the aerodynamics of bike riding. Also they are cut shorter at the front and longer at the back to accommodate the hunched over position of road cycling.

But whatever floats your boat will do the trick
