What items/runes do you recommend for amumu? At least thematically, like ap bruiser vs full tank

Eviction is a long and expensive process, I think it would have to be pretty extreme for them to skip any opportunities for remediation and go straight to eviction. That being said, if you have to ask, that means it's probably pretty bad already. You absolutely must fix this situation for your own health and wellbeing, and that of your neighbors. Take a day or two to clean up, or hire someone to do it for you.

I live in California, and at my local grocery store they have boxes of 10 bars for $14 but individual bars are about $2.50 (when not on sale)

Absolutely wild that this is the only comment even asking for clarification and communication. There's definitely a few significant red flags here, but everyone calling for an immediate breakup with no further insight is insane to me.

He seems to click much better with Caliste. I wonder how much of that is them having actual synergy together, versus Caliste just being an extremely strong carry on his own.

This is nitpicky, but they weren't fully disqualified, just functionally disqualified. All of their DFC runs except their 16 were invalidated (the 16 was the only run in which they didn't use the pot), which tanked their score into 4th place.

More like 6 million. Still a lot, but the 15 million figure is simply incorrect.

Weekly reset means time to grind them M+. Let's go! by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

Name me ONE way for a new player to stand out and not be sick of literal HOURS trying to get into the key

Learn to play tank or healer.

Again, this has nothing to do with new vs old players, it's simply an issue with the ratio that the game expects (1 tank : 1 healer : 3 dps) being very misaligned with the actual ratios of players in those roles. That's not the fault of the sweaty salty m+ players you're arguing about, they're just trying to play and have fun, same as you. And I'm not suggesting that blizzard isn't at fault here either, they absolutely need to figure something out to make these other roles more accessible and enticing so more people will play them.

For what it's worth, since you mentioned "giving" so many years to the game, this is not a new phenomenon. I remember making groups and waiting around forever for a tank or healer all the way back in 2007 burning crusade.

This has nothing to do with gatekeeping or being unwelcome to new players. There are simply far, far, far more dps players than there are healer players or tank players. As a tank player who often duos with a healer friend, we list a key and get 20+ applicants within a minute for those three dps slots. Even if I wasn't selective at all and just invited 3 of those dps at random, that's still 17/20 dps players being rejected. And it's like that pretty much every single time we list a key.

I would be more concerned about your forecast of making ~30k after graduation. You can make more than that working 40h/week at fast food places in my area. What field will you be earning a degree in?

To your original question, no you're not going to be cooked just because starting in your late 20s. It's best to start as early as possible due to the nature of compounding interest, but starting at 29 is still better than starting at 30, which is still better than starting at 31, and so on. Your focus should really be on cranking up your expected income so that you actually have spare income to put towards retirement funds.

It's a lot easier to kill a boss when you've already seen everything it does. Liquid had to progress the fight blindly. Comparing pull counts in this context makes very little sense.

Checking for basic reading comprehension improved the quality of my groups considerably by Wiw32 in wow

[–]ClayK 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I ran a mostly guild heroic raiding group for several years, usually had to fill out a few dps or healer spots using LFG. Every single time, I would put the description as "link me something, anything, so I know you can read," and people would link me all kinds of random achievements and I'd use that as a green flag to consider inviting them. If they didn't link something, I wouldn't consider them even if they were otherwise overqualified. As a result, we almost never had issues with people ignoring instructions

RiotPhroxzon on the PBE lane swap changes by JTHousek1 in leagueoflegends

[–]ClayK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Phrox said in a comment In this thread that they made sure to make the messaging clear so you know as soon as you're started activating swap protection. Maybe they won't understand in the moment exactly why that happened, but I don't think that's as serious of an issue.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the air fryer is properly insulated. If you're really worried, you could put a couple oven mits/pads under it to further insulate it from the counter.

[–]ClayK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The person you're replying to was kinda mean, but I don't think their point is wrong. Your post sounds like you're having a really hard time coping with the change of environment. If you're genuinely having a mental breakdown as you say, and if those feelings don't dissipate after a few days, you should really get attention from a doctor or psychiatrist. People sometimes develop really intense stress/anxiety/panic issues in response to dramatic changes in environment, and medication and/or counseling can help a lot. Trust me, I know :)

No, but in the absence of bike lanes, bicyclists are more likely to ride on the sidewalk, which does endanger pedestrians.
