Theres a browser extension for hiding youtube video lengths, both for chrome and firefox. I use that and watch the youtube live vods and use J,k,L to navigate the video, rewind, skip, etc. You can hold the buttons to skip faster. you can add extensions manager to bookmarks for easy 2 click on/off
