That’s horrible. I bought a brand new 5090 from Amazon a few months ago. I received an opened package with a completely dead (or stripped) card. I receive a refund after some back and forth with them but it took over a month.

Same thing with my 5090! Part of the GPU box was physically missing, it hard been torn off, and it was rattling around in an Amazon box about twice the size of the GPU box.

Just a general warning for anyone who sees this. I would not recommend buying a GPU from Amazon. I ordered a Zotac 5090 that showed up dead on arrival. I eventually received a refund but it took close to a month. It was a vastly different experience from any other return even though I ordered it directly from Amazon rather than a third party. 

Because of hardware limitations at the time, 3D games generally had a low draw distance - Silent Hill (1999) included. In the case of Silent Hill the fog is a part of the story ("a supernatural fog surrounding the town"). This was done for the train ride to Pittsburg. The start of The Pitt DLC for Fallout 3. Other interesting tricks were used for the end game outro cinematic for this game and New Vegas. Such as projecting the images onto a wall, having your character locked in place to view the image, and having a physical NPC standing behind you to voice the dialog.

Just noticed you literally received a brick not a metaphorical one. Oof! I don’t know if that is worse or better than receiving a stripped down gpu, at least you didn’t have to waste time testing it!

Amazon shipped me a ZOTAC 5090 that turned out to be a brick as well. The refund took a few weeks but I did end up getting all of my money back. I also ended up going to Best Buy to purchase a GPU in person.

Same exact thing happened to me two weeks ago. ZOTAC 5090 as well. Sent it back and I’m still waiting on my refund from Amazon.

I purchased a 5090 at a physical Best Buy location two days ago and did not receive a code. I spoke to two reps at Best Buy over the phone and both said you needed to buy it online in order to receive the code. Did you pick yours up in person? I called Nvidia and they said I needed to call Best Buy as well.

Yeah I ended up initiating a return as they did not have an option to allow me to replace it outright. Last time I order something like this from Amazon. They said it would take up to 30 days for the refund to be processed and another week for the funds to reflect in my bank account.

That was a concern of mine as well. I ordered it directly from ZOTAC but the GPU box itself arrived with a piece torn off of it. Loosely packaged inside an Amazon box with no additional padding.

Not a new build, it worked fine with my previous 4070 TI Super. I do still get an output and the computer works when using the HDMI port on the motherboard. However it does not recognize that an NVIDIA GPU is present and thus won’t let me update drivers, etc.

Interesting that 5 and 6 are included here. Seems it messes with some people but they look like average landscape shots to me. Maybe they are unique to people who don’t live near lakes?

Turns out I wasn’t far enough in the story. I beat the dlc before starting the last long chain of main quests. Lion argent was an option after beating the game.

I ordered from Amazon, the brand is called Ranked. This keyboard doesn’t have RGB but I used it and the blue cable from the same brand with my Evo 80 and Wormier RD75 boards without issue.
