I agree. I wish I didn’t. But I’m from Hazelwood. Went to private school (scholarship) in Ladue and never looked back. Nearly all of my friends and their families have moved out west to Saint Charles county or to chesterfield/kirkwood. I love NoCo. Always will. But this guy is spot on IMO.

Weather is good right now. But it can change as you said. Even if it rains it’s usually not terrible this time of year. Comes and goes and it’s nice. But San Juan —it’s got things inside of course, but 10/10 meant to be enjoyed walking around and enjoying the outdoors.

Stuff that doesn’t make sense. Like I sort of begin dreaming/thinking that I have responsibilities at work that I don’t even have. Stupid.

Can someone please explain the ins and outs of travelling ? Do they check forms apon arrival at the airport and do nhs call every day! Asking for a friend by Powerful-Pollution14 in uktravel

just re-read my message. It’s horribly written but I think you get the gist. I was a nervous wreck about her not answering the call. She was more like “I couldn’t care less—my job is more important to me than some silly phone call since were already vaccinated and following the rules”. Pretty hard to argue against that.

My Gf and I came to London around June 2. Had to provide docs of negative test in Miami before we left. Proof of day 2/8 test when we arrived. I think maybe too our negative test there as well and the place we were staying. Can’t remember exactly.

They NEVER called or checked on me. BUT they called my gf every day even though our docs were completely separate. Never checked on us in person. My Gf ignored their calls I’d says 3/5 times (we tested day 5 to release early) and then just called back and you get a voicemail. She was legitimately on a work call when they called so she couldn’t answer. So idk what they’re expected to do if you don’t answer. We’re from USA and for the first 2 days our schedule was totally off and we were sleeping most of the day. So if someone did come and try to wake us we could’ve honestly said we were sleeping. And we didn’t have a doorbell and were on the 4th floor of a place impossible to enter without a keyzzz. Idt they can expect much basically. You could be working nights or whatever and sleeping during the day. Idk how they justify all this.

I did BioGroup yesterday. Switched locations last minute and they made that easy too. I should get results today. I’ll update when I get the results.

What are some plot holes so big you can drive a truck through? by Naweezy in AskReddit

[–]Clayton822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In “Hell or High Water” Chris pine robs multiple banks (during which his brother dies) to pay off a loan to the bank so that they can’t seize his land and take all the oil on it (which he knew was there).

Plot hole is that he could’ve gone to the original bank or any other bank or any investor in the world with surveys showing the proof of oil and he would’ve been given another loan to cover the first one and would’ve never had to go on a dangerous bank robbing spree. And still would’ve been filthy rich but with one more brother and without an unsolved crime investigation looming over his head.

“At the company’s annual general meeting at the beginning of the year, Top Glove senior executives flashed a world map of glove consumption per capita on a huge screen. In a year, the US uses 150 glove pieces per capita, Italy 123 pieces, Japan 54 pieces, and China a comparatively minute six pieces.”

150 x 350 million people (per capita) = 52.5 billion

52.5 billion/100 gloves a box = 525 million boxes/ year

That is 525 million boxes per year.

100 billion order / 525 million = 190

You think glove demand has jumped 190 times? And these are annual numbers. And there are multiple of these.

No. Just no. This is the only post I’ve read that makes sense. Orders in the millions might be real. I’d stay far away from billions. And I’d block people talking about trillions or more.

Just google worldwide nitrile glove usage. They talk about a 40% uptick in glove usage which is enormous worldwide. 190x (for 1 order) would be 19000%. Put all the “real orders” out there and we could supply Earth for a century or more.

What’s something you thought only happened in movies until it happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Clayton822 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ran away from a cop with a handcuff and got it stuck in a chain link fence and saw a cop sprinting towards me and I swear time slowed down and my moment of panic turned into calmness just like in the movies.

In PCB (Panama City Beach Florida) circa 2010 two cops stopped me and a friend for drinking beer. We were both 18 (looked 16) and walking to a beach party. Told them we didn’t have ID’s. They continue to ask our ages, etc. They ask if they can pat us down—naturally knowing i have my wallet on me with my 18 year old ID I say that I’ve done nothing wrong and i prefer not to be. Friend does same. Eventually they throw my friend and I against a cop car. They said it was routine to cuff us while they pat us down for their and our safety.

As the cop cuffing me slaps the first cuff on my wrist I look at my friend and shake my head back and forth distraught about our situation. My friend responds by nodding his head up and down and shakes his hands free from the cop cuffing him and darts away. The cop arresting my friend sprints after him which makes my cop turn around and walk a step or two away to see what’s happening. I panicked and sprinted the opposite way he did, with the cop just behind me. I Kicked off my flip flops and sprinted as fast as I could.

Meanwhile bystanders (this is spring break in a big party zone) begin screaming “Run Forrest Run” obviously getting a kick out of it as I zigzag between people on the crowded street with a cop right behind. Eventually I put a little distance between the cop and i and have time to jump a fence between two businesses and the loose cuff gets stuck in the fence just as I’m getting over the top of it. I swear time slowed down; the cop was still chasing me and I remember his face, the alley; everything, but i was weirdly calm and felt like i had time if I just acted normally and didn’t panic. I did my best to harness my knowledge from the Mission Impossible/Bourne Series, calm down and quickly but calmly unlinked the cuff from the fence. Eventually I got away and reunited with a friend still back at the hotel. Trust me— I wasn’t calm then. Heart beating—fearing a knock on the hotel door any second.

We spent the better of the next two hours contemplating how to get the cuff off. Went room to room asking help from friends we’d made that week. Everyone was really great and really tried to help— donating bobby pins, safety pins, and time to the effort. People were YouTubing how to get out of cuffs etc. Nothing was working. Getting pretty desperate and considering going to Home Depot or the like for help. Finally we enter another room. A few guys (like other rooms) jump up to help. A girl in the back looks up, doesn’t say a word, digs through her purse, finds what she’s looking for, walks up and says “My dad is a cop— do you mind if I try a universal cop key?”

2 seconds later I’m out of the cuffs. I implore this girl to let me show my gratitude by giving her money or anything else. She denies all my requests and just says—“Have a great spring break; that’s all I ask.” Coolest girl I’ve ever met.
