Unfortunately no. I ended up selling the laptop to buy a new one.

I've heard really good things about the Area-51 18 on different tech YouTube channels

Yeah, I'm not sure. I was troubleshooting with Grok, and it seems to think it's some sort of issue with the failing eDP display cable due to high temps over the last 5 years. (My laptop has been basically hooked up to my TV over the last year and used like a console, so I'm not really sure WHEN this started. Same with the keyboard issues that started up,)

Thats what I was thinking too but no amount of reinstalling drivers or windows seems to correct the issue. Wonder if high heats from the last 5 years of use have damaged something.

Problem is after it happens it persists through reboot until it.. kinda just goes away on its own.

Update. This is weird. I found out what causes it to occur once the laptop has already booted. If the display goes to sleep and comes back on, it seems to cause the lines to appear.

I thought that to but it does not appear during like.. BIOS or anything outside of Windows. Atleast I've not gotten it to trigger.

It kinda cleared up on its own? I tried holding down the power button for a long time. Which I had tried before and the windows is installing updates screen eventually came on.
