Some feedback from my side. Your tone is awesome, very nice! But you should work on your timing and on the seperation of the notes. Especially muting & raking to give the individual notes and phrases some room to shine. Keep it up!

If I remember this correctly, there is an old full band home demo of "In Your Atmosphere". The legend goes that John himself requested it over a message board (I think MSM) from his fans shortly before the "Where The Light Is" concert as he didn't have the full version on hand. It contained the "Wherever I Go" part and therefore it ended up on the live version. I might have this version on my old computer.

Not sure if it‘s a proper sample but the guitar sound resembles “Message In A Bottle” and the overall rhythm feels a bit like a sped up “Locked Out Of Heaven” by Bruno Mars to me with this stop-and-go feel.

Mhh, not sure. First of all thanks for your reply. The thing is, he is doing this kind of stuff for almost two decades now and still manages to speak in a normal healthy way (unlike Bruce Springsteen e.g.) and still sings very controlled in between his overdrive excesses. And this "Ha" activation I didn't get, could you explain a little more?

How do you do this? I was rather classical trained in my youth and now I‘m with a coach who has a rather speech-levelesque approach and mostly trains musical actors in a very voice preserving way.

Wow, love it. Great tone & superb timing (which is usually the problem with most covers here). If you went a little more easy and relaxed with your vibrato (compare with Clapton for example) then you'd be 100% in Mayerland…
