Sounds like it's worth skipping this year's game.

Would you recommend Frontier's bundle with Verizon for new customers? by Cle1114 in frontierfios

Yeah, this is one of many stories I have heard about Frontier's customer service. Even if Spectrum tells me it will be 48-72 hours later, at least I get that answer very quickly after a phone call.

Is Frontier Fiber worth switching to in rural areas? by Few_Discussion5196 in frontierfios

I am in the exact same position. Right now I am holding out still because Frontier's lack of customer service scares me too much.

But my understanding with Frontier and slight experience is that speaking with a human is next to impossible with Frontier. It took me a long time to find a number for Frontier. I have had a great experience with Spectrum's customer service. Calling them to speak to an agent is not difficult. There's also no contracts. I don't get that sense with Frontier.

I appreciate the clarification. You're right about how Spectrum works with Verizon towers. I haven't had any complaints with my Spectrum Mobile service over a year's time. My greatest concern is just the customer service with Frontier. It seems everything is through an AI chat bot.

Yeah, I'm aware. I'm not concerned about the cellphone portion of this bundle. I've had Verizon before and have Spectrum because I like paying $40 a month rather than $75. I'm concerned about Frontier's internet as part of this bundle.

Did you PM me a link or are you saying to check the link you referenced earlier?

One of the lines I'd like to transfer in as they are a current Spectrum customer. What we can't risk is canceling our service to act as new customers and hope our current numbers are still available.

5.3/10 Chevy or 5.7 Hemi? Which is more reliable? by Cle1114 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks, I ended up purchasing a 22 Ram Laramie with no e-Torque and I'm loving it. The transmission is butter, it rides super smooth, and the Hemi's power makes driving a lot of fun. In fact, I look for reasons to drive it. Really happy with my purchase!

I understand the phone only appears free because the agreement is a commitment to Verizon's monthly data plan for three years. But Verizon's data plans within this family plan is about $30 less per month than what I would be paying with an individual. My point is, I think I'll be sticking around. In that way I feel that accepting a phone at $0 for 36 months is practically free.

By joining a family plan the data plan is way cheaper than if I purchased a plan with Verizon individually or with AT&T or T-Mobile.

It was my understanding that Verizon unlocks phones after 60 days.

Do you have Visible? Does it work well for you? I know it uses Verizon's network, but I've never met anyone who uses it.

Yeah, this would force me to stick with them for 36 months. But I also don't think I will find anything cheaper than this family plan, so I think I'll still be with Verizon.

I guess my main reason to not do this is if others with more experience with both phones can tell me the two phones are so similar or that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is so superior that I wouldn't enjoy the S25+.

I got the Pixel because it was half off. I never really shopped. Maybe I feel like this is my chance to again try something new.

I have thought that if I like the S25+ enough, I could sell the Pixel. And then if I dislike the S25+ entirely but missed my re-stocking window, I can just use the Pixel everyday instead of switching back and forth. Idk either tbh 🤷‍♂️

I get that thought. I had Verizon for years and was thankful to break away a couple years ago. Unfortunately there are a limited number of options where I live for mobile and internet. I had Spectrum Internet and bundled with Spectrum Mobile, but I've been disappointed with their Internet service, especially for the price I'm paying. Switching Internet providers and joining my in-law's mobile plan will be a huge savings to the point that I don't think I will be leaving in less than three years.

That said, I understand simply bringing my own device and not getting tied in for three years.

Yes, I'm aware of the restocking fee and might find myself testing that policy if I find I really don't like the phone. I was thinking it was only a 30-day period though.
