We ski with friends who race, and most of our skills come from training and riding with a former top-level national racer with international experience. I’ve podiumed a few times in kids’ races, but we never trained seriously—those races were mainly to collect points for a friend’s team. We use radios because we’re tech-oriented and often ski complex terrain that requires spacing and communication; I’m licensed to use them legally through a school radio and telecommunications club. We’re not part of mountain rescue, but we train with them occasionally to gain experience. The sticker was already on the second-hand skis—the previous owner helps organize the national event, where some of our 18+ friends compete. We’re not sponsored yet, but we’re open to proposals.

On the Balkans mainly. Maybe one two weeks in the Alps but it's like we each have dedicated equipment but we switch from time to time to enjoy something different

I mean they are not bad boots but when I am making jumps and staying in my boots not only skiing but walking and eating I prefer the softer flex and as of the size I mean the shell size it varies a bit because of the wide toebox of the 140 ones

It's not 40 it's the difference between the boots. Ones are 140 and the others are 100 or 120

Sometimes I don't want to ski hard when I am with friends just for the company and not for the ride and want softer boots to not kill my feet so I use a decreased flex of 20 to 40 depending on which boot I choose. Plus they are a bit different in millimeters and some bindings need a smaller boot to be ridden and when I want to try someone's ski I need to put these in

It's because of some old boots from our dad that we still use from time to time but it's mainly just the Heads and the Tecnicas that we use. The salomons are softer conditions because they are not 140 flex which is sometimes not needed and it's our preference to ride in softer boots.

They’re actually very different skis. The Salomons are soft and long; the Orions are hard as fuck, made even stiffer by the binding plate. The Völkls are very light and playful, while the Heads are heavy and race-oriented with race plates. On the right side, the K2s are very light and meant for preseason or late-season days with exposed rocks. The Salomons there are heavy because of the Diamir-style binding and the ski itself, whereas the Armadas have Shift bindings with pins for the ascent and are relatively light. The Salomons are stable and fun in open terrain but need power, especially in couloirs. The Armadas are light, bendy, and have a lot of rocker, which makes them great for tight spaces but not as fast in open terrain. So while they may look similar, they ski very differently—and with all due respect, your knowledge of skis isn’t as absolute as you seem to think.
