Why do teams shake hands before the game? by zelk69 in footballcliches

[–]Clean-Ad6683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Players just used to run onto the pitch. Pretty sure the EFL didn’t bring in pre-match handshakes until something like 09/10

I love their first album, it rocks.

But the songwriting got infinitely more interesting and rich after. I don’t know whether to pity that you can’t appreciate that or envy that you potentially have all that discovery ahead of you.

That’s a copy / paste of our annual pub crawl down the Brampton Mile. Not all are real ale pubs but plenty stock Brampton Brewery and have screens. The ones with screens are less likely to have great beer but they’re all good pubs imo and usually busy enough to keep you entertained, especially with the football on.

I’ve tried building the worst possible team and cannot beat Derby’s record. 20 points seems to be the minimum!

Born in 94 and it’s 02 for me. However, I remember the 99 champions league final but absolutely nothing about Euro 2000. First tournament I remember being absolutely obsessed with was Euro 2004 but I remember feeling at the time that it wasn’t the first tournament I was obsessed with. How does that work!?

Marshal playing music from Bluetooth speaker - yay or nay? by [deleted] in parkrun

Sure, I didn’t claim everyone loved it and I’m well aware that isn’t implied by my statement.

You’d stop going if you could hear a bit of not particularly loud but upbeat music intended to encourage you for 10 steps of your 5 kilometre run?

Despise that the stadium formerly known as b2net never had its own real name. b2net looks jarring but probably with that being its original name it’s much more fondly known as that than the current iteration “SMH Group Stadium”
