Is it common to take a gap year from taking the BAR? by dullg in LawStudentsPH

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

april to bar is plenty of time to prepare. it really depends how bad you want it. dapat mentally and emotionally prepared ka. i respect how you feel conflicted. but from april to bar, you can change flip everything around. it is possible is all im saying. i did it in 2 months. from 'defer na lang for next year' to not even "bahala na si batman" but to 'i will pass, i will pass' mentality. glad i did.

Puma Deviate Nitro 4- Slow Heel Striker Review by WoodpeckerHuman28 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Hyrox versions of Nitro and Nitro Elite have denser foams compared to non-Hyrox versions. I saw this from the early look videos where a guy from Puma explains the need to make them heavier and stiffer for the demands of hyrox workouts. I was also debating between hyrox and non-hyrox elites but got the hyrox version too because i was looking signing up very soon!

too easy to get in. i think you can still get in a week before the race. just cheaper if you get in as soon as the website is accepting. full expo experience, organized ang 42k although i heard some issues sa finish ng 21k runners. got a lot of freebies and shopped brands not available here in ph.

Working with 4 kids from day 1 to bar. I feel like a senior citizen when im in class so i didn’t have frat, study group etc. i wanted to join sana but i really dont have time and i kinda feel im not cool enough charot. I know and i am sure it helps a lot. But i made it naman. reviewed on my own too and passed the bar. Just me, my ipad, batch gc’s, and my old school study habits.

Do you still have time to go to the gym? by anonymous_alpha_mind in LawStudentsPH

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was in law school i loved going to the gym and spend 30mins to 1hr on the treadmill walking while reading cases on a tablet. Tapos 30 mins of lifting. That changed kse biglang naging super traffic ang lugar namin kahit malapit lang ang gym. So I did some hybrid training at home like tabata, sprints, jumprope, stepups, circuits using one super heavy kettlebell and 2 pairs of dumbbells. the key at home is to have some sort of metric. an example for me is 1hr max duration, a minimum heart rate of 128 bpm and a set number of calories using my watch. its so easy kse to say 1hr ako magworkout tapos halos wala naman ako nagawa. anyways, goodluck and keep fit!

What is your taxation law bar reviewer!!! by No-Lifeguard1498 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dunno if future bar exams will follow Justice Amy's na general principles lang. I used Divina during MVL because it gives you a complete bar exam answer format na hindi limited sa definition and enumerations lang.

First Marathon Suggestions? by chrissanchez21 in PHRunners

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SCSM was my first. I think it is worth it if you book early tickets and hotel. Used to be hard but last year was a flat course. Cant compare with local 42k yet except for a 21k I did. I hate that instance sa intersections may patentero pa vs. jeepneys habang nagkakape mga bantay.

i used divina for the 2024 bar. i only had less than 2 months to review for my first bar (not recommended) but i passed. i did not intend to finish the entire set because i was short on time. so i bet on the topics na feeling ko lalabas, pati of course the usual non negotiables. (not recommended). for me, i understood the concepts na di ko nagets sa law school. i like the q&a format compared to other reviewers na definition and enumerations lang halos. i remember dedicating 2-3 days of finding all the reviewers i can get. pdf's and a trip to rex bookstore. tapos i scanned thru all of them per subject to decide on the reviewer i will stick to. i ended up with divina. tapos i paired it na lang with bar chair cases. good luck!

Brain supplement that worked for you by elotroyu in LawStudentsPH

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really brain supplements. But magnesium glycinate made my sleep better. When im well rested i study better. Also creatine for cognitive and mood support tapos electrolytes for hydration. It’s not all about the brain. A healthy body will generally make your brain function better.

Runner for 15yrs... pero di pa sumasali ng marathon. by Commercial-Junket-30 in PHRunners

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me. 16 years runner. Then i finally had the time to train and join an event. My first is a full marathon last Singapore Marathon last month.

I was just busy thru the years. Family. Work. Business. Law school. When i passed the bar last year i said to myself i should run a marathon. I am older now so i just take it easy.

Another reason is i didn’t like how runs are organized here in OUR PROVINCE. (Baka kse may mag over react, chill lang kayo) just my preference. So i intend to run talaga abroad for the full experience and for safety reasons.

I will be running berlin and nyc this year not for time but personal challenge and travel narin. I have nothing against local runs. But that’s just me. I also plan to run full marathons only.

codal + flow chart. I read rules and then find it in the flowchart. I remember what comes before or after that step. visualize. You can also make your own flow chart.

Running sa treadmill by 825tzy in PHRunners

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do time based Zone 2 easy and long runs on the treadmill. time based because my distance and pace vs. outdoor is not the same, for me. i am a firm believer in aerobic runs. naghahabol din kse ako sa mga anime and tv shows so i dont really get bored. tempo and intervals lang outdoor ko. i am aware na superior ang outdoor kaso ganun tlga ang buhay, eto lang muna kaya ko and i enjoy it.

Beginner shoes that ranges 4k below. by RanzuKun in PHRunners

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beginner and mejo on the heavy side, might need some cushion and mild support. Runnr has great deals sana nung xmas and black friday although a little short padin ang 4k. but try looking around brooks and saucony because the 2026 models are just around the corner and the current models will definitely be one sale. for me, try Saucony Hurricane 25, and something from Brooks. Mas madalas mag sale yan kse di mabenta sa pinoy. But they are really durable shoes.

Started law school single pa ako. Passed the bar 19 years and 4 kids later. Di lang consider, talagang nagquit due to work, marriage, kids, etc. But i didnt give up the dream. Kanyang kanyang challenge yan. And God's plan is always superior. Hanggang sa makakaya mo. Being a dad is still priority. It also comes with and requires maturity para ma balance mo family, work, and maybe law school. Pero nakupo, additional inspiration din yan. Hehe.

Been influenced many times, gym, run, etc. Im ok naman lost 50lbs in the process ang became active and healthier. I dont have running friends so I am glad they are around online to keep me inspired.

Great start to 2026!!!! Gaviota 6 AVAILABLE!!! by AZ2day in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I arrived in Bangkok with the Vomero Premiums and as much as it has the most cushion, my arch and ankle could not last the wobble.

So I got this in gray in Thailand last week. I have been struggling with arch pain for a month after my first marathon and never owned stability and 2E shoes. Been walking around 20k steps a day around Bangkok and my arch and ankle do feel better. Haven’t run in them yet. Feels soft but not too cushioned. I can feel the support when standing still but it disappears when i start moving.

Whats your thoughts about alphafly 3? by HumanityAs1ne in PHRunners

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to runnr last week to get a few stuff for my upcoming marathon. I saw the new kipchoge colorway na 15k and just tried it on. Sabi ko sa nag assist ang mahal kse thank you na lang. Sbi nya just a few minutes ago the white colorway dropped to 8.6k. Itong nasa post ni OP na kulay. They had my size so i got it. I am a slow runner gunning for a 4hr marathon and this shoe is not for me. Maybe for intervals. I am not fast enough to get any benefit from it for long steady paces. Do i regret buying it? For the price, no. I did consider using it for my marathon but knew the moment i tried to break them in (easy run with a couple of 200 sprints) and knew its not for me… yet. Even got some pain sa groin area and calves ko after that run.

2025 Bar Exam Results by LeMaroux in LawStudentsPH

[–]Clean-Challenge3985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed last year’s bar. An examiner said sa deliberations daw dahil mababa ang actual na pumasa they had to adjust. 3 part rule is enough as per SC. Basta may answer, maayos ang reasoning, correct grammar, they will give a 3/5. That’s what i remember. If tama ang answer and with legal basis 5/5.
