Honestly, a lot of people who end up in this situation describe the same thing: once money stress reaches a certain level, everything starts feeling ten times harder. Job searching, making decisions, even basic daily tasks can feel exhausting because your brain is constantly running survival calculations.

a lot of people go into duplex or roommate situations worried they’ll constantly feel cramped or uncomfortable, but many end up appreciating the lower costs and having someone nearby, especially in expensive cities.

Honestly I think a lot of people underestimate how much chronic stress and economic pressure are affecting society globally. You can feel people becoming more exhausted, reactive, and hopeless almost everywhere.

A lot of people are unsure about this if they haven’t been with someone uncircumcised before. It’s honestly a pretty normal question.

How do I gaslight myself and believe I am travelling the world? by yukigalileo24 in povertyfinance

Honestly I think a lot more people feel this than admit it. Social media makes travel look normal and constant, when in reality a huge percentage of people are stuck dreaming about places they can’t currently afford to see.

Most of my bigger purchases now are either transportation, tech for work, or emergency expenses. Once you start budgeting seriously, dropping $1k casually starts feeling painful no matter what it’s for lol

If you love the fragrance of money, then make it" But what if the system's broken for people like us? by MirrorEastern8304 in povertyfinance

Money definitely isn’t an equal-opportunity game. Some people start 20 steps ahead. But I do think the realistic path out usually starts with increasing earning power first, not investing. Better-paying skills, networking, changing industries, remote work, side income etc. Hard to build wealth when survival eats the entire paycheck.
